Our Purzee Kat passed away on Monday the 12th 2007 after 17 wonderful years. He was a very special family member and will be dearly missed. He was one of a kind cat. Late last year he was diagnosed with kitty diabetes. He was always a very healthy kitty. We never thought a cat would get diabetes but according to the veterinarian it is quite common in house cats. He was one of those cats that never went outside. He was put on insulin shots twice a day for the last 3-4 months and was doing quite well. During the last 3 weeks the doctor was quite concerned about his liver since diabetes is hard to control in cats. Well on Sunday the day before he died his liver started shutting down and the doctor said there was nothing more they could do and on Monday at noon he passed away. He was one of those special house cats and you often wonder where pets go after they die. He was very personable and always wanted to be around people. During our 13 years of having a home group bible study he was always in attendance atop his kitty condo during our study and just being one of the group. He also had to help you whenever you were doing something around the house by checking out what you were doing and having to be right there. He would always be at the front door waiting for you to come home. I guess he sensed or knew the sound of our vehicles when we arrived. He also liked his gospel music and only gospel music. He was always there either in the studio or in our music practice room listening to the music. We even named our studio after him, Purzee Studio's and Top Kat Productions, because every time we were in there working on a project he had to be there and have his own personal chair to sit in. He was one of our worst critics. During rehearsals when someone would sing off key he would start howling and take off running. He wasn't to fond of Contemporary or Christmas music but loved his Gospel music. In the evenings he was always in your lap purring watching TV with us and of course when it was bed time he would hog all of the bed. Purzee loved to travel with us in the bus along with his good buddy Freckles our dog . She misses him also. Nobody to pal around with in the house and play with anymore. As you can see from Purzee's name he was always purring. Whenever you picked him up, touched him or he jumped up in your lap he always purred. He was definitely a happy kitty all the time and of course spoiled rotten. He will always be missed but never forgotten and we honestly believe Purzee is in a better place now in
God's Animal Kingdom.
